Music

In his personal life Dan Cato Wilson has produced, written, recorded, mastered and performed with all these projects and more:

Cato Creative: In early January of 2020 Dan was unexpectedly sent on a day long journey across California aboard various forms of public transportation. Determined to make the best of the situation he began making an album about the strange trip on his phone. Utilizing samples from the buses and trains themselves as well as various iPhone synthesizers, low quality microphones and a kazoo, this album forms the first entry into Dan’s new musical identity Cato Creative. Cato Creative is meant to be a collective more than a one man band. Although Dan took his journey alone his two best friends make an appearance on the album to add their unique flavors to the mix.

In this new era of his music Dan hopes to take a more electronic and computer based approach as well as a more humorous style compared to his previous work as Dan Cato.

Lo-Fi Hitmen: A comedy rock improv band that has been making up classic rock style music on the fly since 2007 to present day.

The Travelling Ills: A blues and punk inspired hard rock band that operated in the central coast of California from 2013-2015.

Dan Cato: Dan Cato’s solo project which started in 2007 with the release of the EP “Blacksea.” He has released his full length “Miniature Cities” in 2010 and other tracks throughout his career with an occasional rare live performace.
